Portable Fuel Cleaning Systems for maintenance shops and Aircraft Refueling The GCF Model 400-F is a small portable unit that is used in maintenance shops. These systems are used to circulate clean the fuel while the vehicle is in for its scheduled maintenance. Larger facilities such as CSMS and MATES units have several of these systems located in their shop bays. The GCF Model 400-F is equipped with a storage tank for draining used fuel filters. Normally, when factory installed fuel filters are changed the fuel inside of the filter is disposed of. Using the GCF-400-F the user simply places the fuel filter inside the tank, allowing the fuel to drain completely. Once the tank is full, the contaminated fuel is then circulated from the tank through the filter system allowing the clean fuel to be re-used. This concept was developed by the Missouri Army National Guard. Aircraft De-fueling When an aircraft is brought in for service the fuel is normally removed and disposed of. The AVCRAD repair facility in Gulfport, MS helped us design a portable cleaning system that can easily de-fuel the aircraft, clean the fuel, and transfer the cleaned fuel to a tanker truck for use.
